DIY Anti-Inflammatory Face Pack

One of the best ways to combat ageing is using healing and anti-inflammatory aids for promoting repair and rejuvenation.

Ginkgo Biloba is one such ingredient that can be used in myriad ways as a tea, supplement or even as a pack. You can use it to curb inflammatory issues like ache, or curb ageing skin signs like wrinkles, fine lines and look younger long. Want to know how to prepare the pack?

Ingredients

Turmeric Powder – ¼ Tsp.
Ginkgo Biloba – ½ Tbsp. (Ground as paste)
Honey – ¼ Tsp.
Rose Water –a few drops
Ginseng Juice – ½ Tsp.

Instructions

Add all the ingredients to a mixing bowl and stir to combine.

You should get a thick paste – the consistency of a face pack.

You can add additional water if needed to get the consistency right.

Done!

How to Use the Mask?

Apply the mask on your face and neck.

Wait for about 25 minutes before washing off with lukewarm water.

Pat dry and follow-up with a moisturizer.

Do this twice a week to keep inflammation and ageing skin signs at bay.

Tips to Tweak the Recipe

You can modify the ratio of the ingredients to suit your requirements better.

Instead of Rose Water you can also add Rose Petals and grind them for this recipe.

You can use other ingredients like Yogurt, Milk Cream, Milk, Lavender Hydrosol, etc.

You can also add Glycerin if you feel your skin becomes dry after the pack. Honey usually takes care of it, but Glycerin is a good addition if you want soft and supple skin.

If you have skin issues Margosa Leaves are a good addition.

Do you know Indian Nettle Leaves are not only good for combatting skin issues, but also delay ageing skin signs? That’s another ingredient you can add.

You should be able to get Ginseng Juice though for those who can’t, Ginseng Powder works fine.

Ginkgo Biloba paste can be made from fresh leaves, though dried powder works too.

I like adding AloeVera Gel to this recipe – it is also a healing and nourishing aid with numerous benefits to offer for your skin. It is a very versatile ingredient and can be used in most recipes.
