Pampering yourself once in a while is a good thing. Isn’t it? Nothing feels pampering like a bath can.

So, let’s bring the spa home this lockdown and pamper ourselves without hitting the spa. I was looking at a nourishing and moisturizing recipe, so it can soothe and nourish the skin. This is suitable even for those with dry skin. So, let’s get started shall we?

Ingredients

Honey – ½ Cup

Heavy Cream – 1 Cup

Rose Water – ½ Cup

Geranium Essential Oil – a few drops

Instructions

Nothing really!

Just add all the ingredients to your bath, adjust the temperature and ingredients – if you need more or less, based on the aroma and feel.

Done!

Why These Ingredients?

This is a natural and luxurious bath recipe using simple and readily available ingredients from your pantry. In most cases, you have all the ingredients, or at least most of them.

It pampers your skin and mind, hydrates your skin, moisturizes and nourishes even if your skin is really dry and formulated to soothe, heal and nurture dry, inflamed or irritated skin.

Who Can Use this Bath Recipe?

This bath is good for all skin types. It is recommended and ideal for those with dry, damaged, windburned or sunburned, dehydrated or for skin damaged due to environmental factors.

Those with sensitive skin can also use this recipe.

For those with skin conditions, depending on the condition and how the skin is, you can use this recipe to accelerate healing, soothing or calming skin.

Frequency

You can use this as desired, but I don’t recommend using bath way too often.

Yield

1 Bath Treatment

How to Use the Recipe

Add this to your bath – warm or lukewarm bath, is ideal. Go with a hot bath only rarely and if you need it for some reason – pain management, etc.

Swish the water using your hands to mix the ingredients together. Adjust temperature and ingredients – if needed.

Jump in and soak yourself for 25 – 30 minutes.

Rinse and pat dry.

Follow-up with your moisturizer.

Tips to Tweak the Recipe

You can use Fresh Cream if you don’t get Heavy Cream. Go with Fresh Cream or Light Cream if you have normal skin or oily skin.

If you love the aroma of Coconuts, you can add or swap the Cream for Coconut Cream. This depends on your skin type and preference really.

Rose Water is not only hydrating but also leaves your skin soft and silky. Smells lovely and relaxes your mind. It’s also a romantic aroma 😉 what’s not to love about it.

You can use any essential oil or skip it altogether. Geranium goes well with Rose Water, though Rose Absolute works too. You can also use any other essential oil that you love.
