Unusual Anti-Aging Tips – Asian Spoon Massage

So, we’re back at it again with more unusual anti-ageing tips that you might, or not know, but would love to hear. So, let’s get going.

Asian Spoon Massage!

Even with spoon massage there are many different ways and techniques but only one really stands out. According to those who do this massage religiously and regularly the results are visible within two weeks! That’s great isn’t it? So, let’s get started.

Basically a facial massage aims at regulating lymph and blood flow, reduces water retention and stimulates improved cell regeneration. This reduces wrinkles, fine lines, improves skin tone and of course, delays ageing skin signs. Though it was originally followed in Asian countries like China, Korea and Japan, it is now popular globally and increasingly more people have taken to it.

The Spoon!

You will need small sized spoons. Though you can use any normal spoon that you regularly use, ceramic or porcelain spoons are widely used. Make sure the spoon you choose is well rounded without any sharp or jagged edges.

Moisturize & Prepare

Cleanse your face. Apply oil or face cream whatever you regularly use on your face. Do this just before you are ready to massage. Alternatively, you can also dip the spoon in the oil if that’s easier. You will need to alternative between hot and cold – you can either use plain water or herbal tea for improved results.

Let’s get started!

You can do this massage anytime that’s comfortable for you. Warm the spoon and rub it along your skin with upward strokes – don’t press down too much but glide gently. Use the convex side or the opposite side of the spoon for massage.

Move the spoon back and forth under your eyes. Alternate between hot and cold temperatures using hot or cold water or tea, continue massaging for about a minute or two. Finally close your eyes and place the spoon on your eyes. Wait for it to get warm and then dip in cold water or tea, place it again. Do this 7 times – this also curbs swelling of the eye.

Place the spoon on the upper part of your nose, moving it up and down slightly. Do this for about 7 times, warming up the spoon in between.

Place the spoon on the corners of your eye and with circular motions towards your temple, increasing the pressure slightly glide the spoon outwardly. Swap between warm and cold temperatures and repeat this 7 times.

Now, open your eyes and place the spoon at the starting point of your brows – warm up the spoon before this. Glide the spoon across using circular motions and work your way towards your temples, while lifting your eyebrows as you do this. Do this 7 – 10 times.

Wondering what to do about those forehead wrinkles? There’s a fix for that too! Warm up the spoon and place it on your forehead, gliding it towards your temples with circular motions. You need to work your way from the middle of your forehead and back. When the spoon begins to cool down, warm it up and repeat. Do this for a couple of minutes.

Laughter Lines? No worries, just warm up the spoon and place it under your nose – while doing this open your mouth slightly and stretch your lips out. Glide the spoon using circular motions towards the corner of your mouth and work you way back to under your nose. Do this 5 – 7  times.

Double Chin? No problem! Massage it away with this easy technique. Warm up your spoon and place it right under your chin and work our way to the ears in circular motions – slightly stretch your skin as you glide, but don’t use brute force.

Repeat this at least seven times. The spoon should be warm throughout – so warm up as and when needed.

Tighten your chubby cheeks! Warm up the spoon and place it at the corner of your mouth. Use circular motions and work your way to your ears. Heat the spoon as needed, smile as you glide the spoon and repeat the process 5 – 7 times.

Don’t behind high neck attires anymore as there’s a fix for your décolletage skin.

Warm the spoon and place in on your solar plexus and work your décolleté area. Dip the spoon into cold water as you do this every now and then and swap to warm spoons alternating between both. Do this about 10 times.

Relax those neck muscles that look wrought and tight due to stress. Warm up the spoon and place it under your ear and glice it towards your collarbone. Rinse and repeat warming up the spoon if needed, for about 10 times.
