Neck is one area where age is reflected quite easily. Just like the fine lines around one’s eyes or the laugh lines, the creases in one’s neck is a definitive indicator of age. Do you know you can minimize the impact just like you can on your face, or other areas?

I have always mentioned, ageing gracefully is something we can all aspire for. We’re not looking to hide our age, but look good with age and wear our marks with pride. It shows experience and a life well lived, but the ageing skin signs and ravaging effects can be minimized and delayed – after all, hectic lifestyle and wrong choices make one look well into their forties, when they’re in late twenties or early thirties. That’s not graceful ageing. Is it? If someone says you don’t look your age (in a nice way I mean), doesn’t mean you look immature just healthy, active and younger. This mask makes that possible by keeping your skin cell regeneration rate good and by nourishing and rejuvenating your skin to look and feel younger, longer.

So, let’s take a look at the recipe and take it from there. Shall we?

Ingredients

Egg Yolk – 1

Linden Tea – 1 Cup

Potato – 1

Royal Jelly / Honey – 1 Tsp.

Argan Oil – 1 Tbsp.

Vitamin E Oil – 1 Capsule

Lemon Juice – ½ Tbsp.

Helichrysum Essential Oil – a few drops

Instructions

Prepare a tea with Linden Blossoms – I prefer a medium – strong tea with about a tablespoon per cup or more – depending on the strength of the resulting tea. Again, this is a matter of preference, so if you want to keep it light go for it. A teaspoon for a cup is good. Let the prepared tea cool down.

Boil and mash the Potato (it is easy to mash while warm – hot) – deskin it of course. Let it cool down for a bit.

Add in the Egg Yolk and mix to combine.

Now, add the Royal Jelly (only if you don’t get this substitute with Honey, it’s a close alternative), Vitamin E Oil, Argan Oil, Lemon Juice and Helichrysum Essential Oil and mix well.

Let this mixture cool in a refrigerator – this mixture should be chilled.

Done!

How to Use the Mask?

Take out the chilled mixture from the refrigerator and apply it on gauze strips. Cover your neck area with these strips and let it soak in for about 25 minutes or more. The strips should fully cover your neck and up until your chin underside.

After the specified duration, remove the gauze strips gently and rinse off with the linden tea you prepared.

Shelf Life

Refrigerate any remainder of the mask or tea and use it next time – don’t prepare larger batches for better results and freshness.

I always prepare this fresh and use it, so not sure how long it will last in the fridge though with egg yolk added I wouldn’t want to take that risk. You might get better results with keeping it intact if you freeze, though it’s a matter of trial and error and depends on other factors, not just refrigeration / freezing.

Frequency

Use this mask once a week, for at least three months to see obvious results.

Why use this Mask?

This mask is nourishing and has every nutrient that the skin could probably lack. Besides, it also promotes regeneration and rejuvenation two key things for healthier and supple skin that looks younger and retains elasticity.

It brightens your skin, tightens it and reverses the ravaging effects of ageing and pollution to make your skin look younger and healthier.
