A simple but effective skin serum can offset or delay ageing skin signs. With the right care and nourishment, skin can look and feel young and supple longer.

Ageing does have its toll on the skin. They say wrinkles that come with age are worn with pride for they reflect a life well-lived. So, there’s no reason to worry about ageing skin signs that are part and parcel of life, but we can delay it.

When we age the cell regeneration rate goes down. Since the cells don’t regenerate quickly like before coupled with the drop in collagen levels, skin begins to wrinkle, sag and fine lines are formed. Using ingredients that fight free radical damage, boost collagen and cell regeneration rate, we can combat ageing skin signs and retain the elasticity of the skin longer.

We’re looking to prepare a very simple 2-ingredient blend that will keep your skin supple and fight age induced skin degeneration. Let’s take a look at the recipe.

Ingredients

Black Cumin Seed Oil – 1 Oz.

Frankincense Essential Oil – 16 Drops

Instructions

Add Black Cumin Seed Carrier Oil to a sterilized dark amber glass bottle with a dropper.

Add in Myrrh Essential Oil to it and shake gently to combine.

Let it sit for a day or two and it’s good to go.

How to Use the Serum?

Apply the serum every night to cleansed skin.

Take a few drops of the serum and apply this to your face and neck.

Avoid the eyes and make sure to use upward strokes while applying the serum.

Tip

Apply this serum for three weeks and then take a break for a few days and then start all over again, to prevent the skin from getting accustomed to it.

Why These Ingredients?

This anti ageing serum is natural and combats ageing skin signs. It facilitates cell regeneration, soothes skin, curbs skin problems and infections, pimples or acne, scars and wrinkles and also keeps fungal or allergic infestations at bay.

Tips to Tweak the Recipe

You can add other ingredients to this recipe like Evening Primrose Oil, Wheatgerm Oil, Vitamin E Oil, etc.

You can use other essential oils along with or instead of Frankincense Essential Oil.

Why Black Seed or Black Cumin Seed Oil?

Black Cumin Seed Oil also called Black Onion Seeds Oil, Kalonji Oil, Nigella Sativa Oil, is rich in antioxidants, antibacterial and rich in nutrients. It’s been used for centuries for skincare and different countries and cultures named it differently. Arabs called it seeds of blessing, it’s called a curative in the Bible and in Latin, it’s called a cure-all. It is a nutrient-rich ingredient – rich in fatty acids including linoleic acid, flavonoids, carotene, alkaloids, proteins, amino acids, carbs, more than hundred different vitamins and minerals, etc. It fights inflammation and accelerates healing. It is used in the treatment of skin cancer. These are just a few benefits or properties of this wonderful ingredient. So we use this one our serum and with it being a comprehensive ingredient, we have kept it simple and straightforward. However, with Black Cumin Oil, a little goes a long way. So you can also add other carrier oils along with this carrier oil.
