Anti Ageing Tips from India Part V

Known for its rich culture and tradition, India is also known for its connection to alternative medicine systems like Ayurveda, Siddha, etc. We’ve been seeing unique and effective anti-ageing tips all the way from India. As promised, here’s the next part on the same.

Almond Pack

Soak a few Almonds overnight in milk and grind them to a paste next morning – don’t discard the milk – use it for grinding. Apply on your face and neck and wait for 20 minutes before rinsing off. You can do this once a week to hydrate and rejuvenate your skin. This pack prevents skin wrinkling, fine lines and sagging. Milk keeps your skin hydrated and moisturized.

Strawberries Pack

This probably one of the easiest packs. Just mash a few strawberries and apply to your face and neck. Let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing off. You can do this twice a week, though once should help too. Rich in antioxidants this pack keeps ageing skin signs at bay. Vitamin C in berries improves skin’s elasticity and gets rid of dead cells while making skin tone even and radiant. So, you can bid adieu to fine lines, age spots, wrinkles and blemishes with this pack.

EO Night Massage Blend

This is not a pack exactly but works wonders for your skin. Take 5 drops each of Jasmine Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Frankincense and Rose Geranium Essential Oil in a glass bottle and mix well. Take a few drops of this mixture with ½ Tsp. carrier oil of your choice and massage your face and neck every night. This curbs ageing skin signs including wrinkles, dryness, sagging skin and keeps your skin hydrated.

DIY Under-Eye Serum

Crow’s feet is probably one of the first signs for ageing for most and that’s one reason why you need different care routine for skin around your eyes – they’re sensitive and gentler than skin in other parts of your face. Use this serum for curbing ageing skin signs around your eyes. Take 1 Tsp. Hazelnut Oil, ½ Tsp. Sandalwood Oil, ½ Tsp. Carrot Seed Oil, ½ Roman Chamomile EO and 2 drops of Myrrh Essential Oil. Use this as your under eye serum every night for younger looking skin around your eyes. This also curbs dryness, reduces enlarged pores under the eyes along with dark circles and under eye bags. What’s not to like about it? Make sure to use your middle finger to apply this serum – the pressure is lesser when using middle fingers than other fingers.

Floral Mask

This is an aromatic and enticing pack that I personally love. Take a few drops of Sweet Almond Oil along with a handful each of Chamomile Petals, Rose Petals and Marigold Petals. Grind them to a fine paste adding water and apply this as a pack to your face and neck. Wait for 25 minutes before rinsing off and follow up with a toner and moisturizer. Do this once a week to nourish, moisturize and hydrate your skin. This pack also soothes your skin and keeps it soft and looking younger.
