Stretch Marks are a common problem not just for post-pregnancy, but for those looking to lose weight or reduced weight recently.
I wanted to deal with the stretch marks that have cropped due to weight loss for one of my friends who seemed upset about it. So I did some research and came up with a recipe that worked wonders for her and few other friends.
It works for scars, blemishes, stretch marks and other issues while also nurturing and nourishing the skin. Let’s take a look at the recipe and then move to the benefits of the ingredients.
Ingredients

Rosehip Oil – 1 Tbsp.
Grapeseed Oil – 1 Tbsp.
Argan Oil – 1 Tbsp.
Myrrh Essential Oil – 7 Drops
Helichrysum Essential Oil – 7 Drops
Neroli Essential Oil – 3 Drops
Patchouli Essential Oil – 4 Drops
Vitamin E Oil – 1 Tbsp.
Instructions
Add all the ingredients to a sterilized, dark amber glass spritzer.
Shake gently and let it sit for a day or two.
Done!
Why These Ingredients?
There are different ingredients to choose from but these yielded me best results in my trysts.
Hazelnut Oil is considered one of the best oil for scar removal and is highly nutritious. However, it’s also light and not heavy like other oils that help with scar removal like Vitamin E or Wheatgerm Oil.
Grapeseed Oil is another nourishing and healing oil that you should try out. It is also light and works well for most.
Rosehip Oil is one of the best regenerative oils out there and it’s no wonder I chose it for my recipe.
Argan Oil offers loads of benefits and nutrients. Regeneration and healing is one of its best properties, besides it’s non-greasy and light texture.
We all know Vitamin E Oil is in every scar cream out there for it’s regenerative and repairing properties. It’s also a good natural preservative, especially if you’re using Rosehip or other oils that can go rancid faster.
Helichrysum dubbed, as Immortelle is probably one of the most promising of all oils used for scars and blemishes.
Myrrh is another oil with regenerating and healing properties that also smells wonderful.
Neroli and Patchouli are both used widely for scar removal and it’s not a surprise to find them here.
Tips to Tweak the Recipe
The choice of essential oils is many including Lavender Essential Oil, Sandalwood Oil, etc. Choose what oils you can find in your locality, or acquire easily instead of the oils listed here if you can’t get them.
Choice of carrier oils includes Coconut Oil, Sesame Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Sunflower Oil, etc. You can go with what you like, prefer and can find in your locality.
How to Use the Oil?
Just spritz it on your skin and massage till it’s absorbed. Apply it once a day at least and wait for a few weeks to see obvious changes. It’s not magic and it would take time for nature to works it’s magic. But surely and slowly it will happen. It works for all scars and blemishes, including acne scars, not just stretch marks.
