From insect bites to laundry agents, the cause for an allergic reaction can be anything. At times, the allergies can move on to become infected, typically due to scratching the affected area. Ingredients
Shea Butter – 12 Tsp.
Beeswax – 1 Tsp.
Bentonite Clay – 2 Tbsp.
Camellia Oil – 6 Tsp.
Aloe Vera Gel – 2 Tbsp.
Witch Hazel – 2 Tbsp.
Lavender Essential Oil – 10 Drops
Instructions
In a double boiler, melt the Shea Butter and Beeswax.
When it begins to melt, add the Camellia Oil and Aloe Vera Gel and stir gently.
When the ingredients melt and combine well, remove from heat.
After a few seconds, add Witch Hazel, Lavender Essential Oil and Bentonite Clay.
Stir till fully blended.
Transfer to a sterilized jar and use as needed.
How to Use it?
Scoop out enough Allergy Salve and apply on the affected area. Wait for about 15 minutes and then, wash off with lukewarm water. You can do this twice a day.

Shea Butter soothes irritated and inflamed skin. With Shea Butter, there’s no worry about clogging pores, so you can even use this for acne.
Beeswax is an emollient and healing wax that’s also anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. It forms a protective coating on your skin and seals in moisture, a reason it is used widely in cold creams.
Camellia Oil is great for dealing with allergies, besides accelerating healing. It is also an emollient, antimicrobial and an emulsifying agent.
Aloe Vera is a healing herb and any itches or rashes can be curbed with Aloe Vera. It also promotes faster healing and soothes irritated skin.
Witch Hazel brings down inflammation, while Bentonite Clay draws out toxins.
Lavender Essential Oil is soothing, a key property that calms the irritation and inflammation that’s common with allergies.
Tips to Tweak the Recipe
You can use Cocoa Butter if you want a richer salve and don’t have acne issues.
You can also use Tea Tree Essential Oil instead of, or along with Lavender Essential Oil.
Turmeric Essential Oil, or powder is a good addition to the salve.
If you are allergic to Beeswax, skip it! You can substitute it with Carnauba or Candelilla Wax.
If you can’t get Camellia Oil, you can substitute it with Coconut Oil, Emu Oil or Grapeseed Oil.
