DIY Rejuvenating Hand Potion

Have you been neglecting your hands? Hands need TLC and care just like your face and that’s why they always say, any care routine for the face should be extended to the neck and hands too. After all, anything you do, you do with your hands! Just like your feet that take you everywhere, hands do all the work for you.

There’s a reason hands age at the same rate as you face, if not quicker. That’s why most guess the age when they look at one’s hands. So, want to keep your hands soft and supple longer? Try this easy hand potion to curb ageing skin signs, rejuvenate your skin, repair your skin and reverse damage caused by UV rays, etc.

How to Use the Hand Potion?

Take a small dollop of the potion and apply to your hands – massage it in for a few seconds.

Let it sit for at least 15 minutes before washing off.

Frequency

You can apply this potion twice a day for best results.

Shelf Life

This lasts for a week when refrigerated. Yes, whipped cream doesn’t stay with the whipped consistency once refrigerated but that’s OK. Unless you want to prepare this everyday, whipping up a batch for a week is the way to go.

Tips to Tweak the Recipe

You can use any carrier oil instead of Jojoba Oil that offers anti-ageing benefits according to your skin type and preference – Avocado Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Argan Oil, Rosehip Oil, Apricot Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Vitamin E Oil, etc.

Full fat cream offers best results – though if you prefer to use half and half, you can try that too. Results might vary slightly.

Those who have sensitive skin can use Orange Juice instead of Lime Juice.

Essential Oils are optional. I have chosen Myrrh for the aroma and anti-ageing benefits. You can choose what oil you like. Rose Absolute, Lavender Essential Oil, Frankincense Essential Oil, Geranium Essential Oil, Sandalwood Oil, etc. are other options.

You can add Vitamin E Oil to this recipe.

I love to add crushed rose petals to this recipe for a variety and silky soft skin.
