Instructions

In a double boiler, melt the Beeswax and Shea Butter.

When melted, add Hazelnut Oil, Almond Oil and Vitamin E Oil.

Wait till the oils, butter and wax combine and remove from heat.

Let it cool down.

Once fairly cool, add in the Essential Oils, Evening Primrose Oil and Aloe Vera Gel.

Gently mix to combine and refrigerate this mixture for a few minutes or about an hour.

The mixture will slightly solidify and became partially opaque.

Now, use a hand blender and whip the ingredients.

The ideal setting is medium high.

While still using the blender, slowly add in the Honey.

Once the mixture is fully combined, transfer to a sterilized container.

Shelf Life

This keeps good for a while, though I prefer a new batch every two – three weeks.

Why These Ingredients?

Raw Shea Butter is healing, moisturizing and nourishing and one of my favorites as it doesn’t clog pores. So, even if you have acne problems, you can still use Shea Butter.

Almond Oil is light and anti-aging. If you have under eye circles, or puffy eyes, Almond Oil is a good addition.

Aloe Vera Gel brightens your skin, repairs and heals skin, deals with skin disorders, slows ageing and even curbs acne.

Hazelnut Oil is good for anti-aging and scar healing properties.

Vitamin E Oil is ideal for scar healing and delaying ageing skin signs.

Honey is a hydrating agent that also nourishes your skin. I use wild and raw honey.

Helichrysum, also called Immortelle is known for its healing and anti-ageing properties. If you want to get rid of marks, scars and ageing skin signs, this EO is a must have.

We have spoken a lot about Lavender EO – besides the fragrance, it is one of the best ingredients for your skin.

How to Use it?

Gently massage this cream into your skin at night after cleansing.

Tips to Tweak the Recipe:

You can use Frankincence EO, Rose EO and Sandalwood EO, as they all offer similar benefits.

As for the carrier oils, you can also use Coconut Oil or any other carrier oil of your choice instead of Almond and Hazelnut Oils.

You can add Rosehip Seed Oil; it is a good one to have on your side.
