DIY Gingko Biloba Poultice

With holidays coming up, festive season preparations in full swing, tiredness, pain and aches are part and parcel of these hectic times. Want to soothe your aches and pains away?

There are different ways to sooth pain. One of the ways is to use hot or cold fomentation, using oils or balms or compress or even soaking in a hot bath to soothe aches and pains. Here’s a poultice you can use for soothing your inflammation and get relief from pain instantly. Want to know how?

Ingredients

Ginkgo Biloba Extract – 3 Tsps.
Ginger Juice – ½ Tbsp.
Turmeric Powder – 1/3 Tbsp.

Instructions

Grind together a handful of Ginkgo Biloba Leaves along with Fresh Ginger and extract the juice.

Add Turmeric Powder and mix well to make a paste.

Done!

Tips to Tweak the Recipe

Make a paste with all the ingredients listed above. – You can use Ginkgo Biloba Extract off the shelves if that’s easier or if you don’t have access to fresh leaves.

You can increase the Turmeric Powder or add Dry Ginger Powder to get a paste.

You can add a drop of Chili oil or peppermint oil depending the type of your pain and preference.

You can add Mustard Seeds to this poultice for better results – this is a counterirritant so not suitable for everyone or all types of pains.

How to Use the Poultice?

Apply the paste to affected areas to curb inflammation and get instant relief from pain.

Let it sit for 7 – 15 minutes.

Rinse off and do this twice daily for bet results.

I have not stored it for more than a day or so – even refrigerated the poultice can become dry and the efficacy less. So, when you’re really strapped for time, prepare a batch for the couple of times you apply the same day or so.
