Do you know how to sterilize it? The simplest way to wash it and then, bring water to a boil for a few minutes and let it air dry. There are other ways to sterilize though using boiled water is by far the easiest and cheapest.
Melt cera bellina wax and when it begins to melt, add olive, jojoba and argan oils.
When combined add gingseng extract and vitamin E oil and stir till all the ingredients combine.
Remove from heat and transfer contents to lip balm tins and let it cool down.
Why These Ingredients?
Cera Bellina Wax
The serum gets a gel like consistency with the addition of cera bellina wax and makes it easy to spread. Cera Bellina Wax is derived from beeswax and popular for its ability to gel oils. It is used in lotion bars, lip balms, or other products that calls for emulsification or a smooth consistency. It inhibits crystallization and used as a thickener or emulsifier in lotions or serum formulations. For gelling, 1 – 29% is required, depending on your preferred consistency. If you are using in your lip balm, it is 1 – 20% and for emulsions it is 1 – 2%.
Gingseng Extract
Gingseng extract is rich in phytonutrients that activate and stimulate skin metabolism. It eliminates free radicals and promotes collagen secretion, making your skin firmer. It also tones your skin and improves skin elasticity, reducing wrinkles and fine lines. Rich in minerals, vitamins and antioxidants, it improves over all skin health and hydrates your skin. It improves skin complexion and gives you radiant skin. It leaves your face looking fresh and also reduces age spots and blemishes when used as a mask. Another advantage is the ability of Gingseng to bring down dark circles around your eyes and lighten darkened skin around the eyes.
Argan Oil
A lot is written and said by Argan Oil, which is considered as a natural elixir with powerful rejuvenation and anti-aging properties. It promotes skin hydration, aids with skin repair and rejuvenation and gently nourishes the delicate skin under your eyes. An ideal addition if you have mature, oily or dry skin.
Jojoba Oil
Jojoba Oil resembles skin sebum closely and hence considered ideal and suited for most skin types. It is also light and non-greasy.
Olive Oil
Olive oil nourishes and moisturizes your skin and has anti-aging properties that ensure you have a youthful skin. Those with acne-prone skin can substitute Olive Oil with Argan Oil.
Vitamin E Oil
Vitamin E Oil has numerous skin benefits, including reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
