Cinnamon Infused Oil – ½ Tsp.
Beetroot Powder – as needed

Instructions

Transfer to a sterilized jar and use as needed.

Tips to Tweak the Recipe

You can use any drink powder of your choice instead of beetroot powder. There are many concentrated and flavored drink recipes that you can choose from – ones with citrus ingredients or berry can give a plumping effect.

You can also use other coloring agents including food colors or natural coloring options – flower powders, fruit powders, vegetable powders, etc.

Rose and hibiscus are common options when using flowers. As for fruits berries are often used, besides pomegranate. You can get mixed berry powder, strawberry powder, blueberry powder, black berry powder, etc. You can also mix them up to try different shades. Beets and carrots are often used depending on the shade preference.

You can also use spice powders for adding a twist to the recipe, or for different shades or even for adding slight shimmer. For example: Turmeric can give yellow hue and can be combined with other ingredients. Nutmeg powder will add shimmer to the recipe, where as, cinnamon or chili powders can give plumping effect.

If you are using flavored drink powders you can use water to mix them, as they might not dissolve in oils and then refrigerate the lip stain.

You can also add a few drops of Vitamin E Oil to this recipe.

You can add Cocoa or Shea Butter if you want a firm consistency.

Beeswax is an economical way to get a firm lip stain that can double up as a lip balm.

You can add any ingredients that you prefer and try experimenting with the shades and results to find what works best for you.

You can use cinnamon or chili infused oil for plumping effect, though you can skip it altogether if you don’t prefer it. However, if you’re sensitive avoid using either of these ingredients as they can cause irritation.

How to Use the Lip Stain?

Take a small dollop and smooth over on your lips – it adds moisture and a dash of color.
