This is the next part of the wonderful and aromatic Rose Water. So, we have already learned a lot about Rose Water and also how to prepare it, now, let’s learn more about how to use it. 

Rose Water is usually an ever present ingredient in most homes. You have probably used it in desserts or other food preparations, especially if you’re familiar with Indian, Asian or Mughal Cuisine. You’d be surprised at the versatility of this ingredient when it comes to using it in recipes, though that’s not why we’re here 😉 As tempting as it is to discuss food, let’s move on to the uses of the ingredient for skin and hair care. 

Best Time to Use Rose Water 

I have found the results to be amplified when using Rose Water at night. However, it is very cooling and might not suit everyone, especially if you’re not in tropical countries. So, if you’re ot able to use it at night, you can still use it whenever and however you can. Having that said, let’s move on.

Spritzing

Using Rose Water as a spritz is fun and easy! You can use it as a refreshing spritz, to set your makeup, to tame frizzy or dry hair, etc. it will not only nourish and hydrate your skin, it will leave your skin soft and radiant. As for your hair, it will hydrate, nurture and leave your locks silky soft. The best part, depending on your preference and requirement, you can dilute it or use it without diluting. 

Mask & Packs 

Use it to make a paste of dry ingredients for your mask or pack. It is hydrating and works as a great way to include it in your skin care routine. You can also add it additionally along with other ingredients you use in the recipe, it doesn’t have to be the only one. 

Hydrating Rinse 

Not just for your hair, you can also dilute Rose Water with water and pour on your skin after shower. It keeps dryness at bay – the dry or pulling feeling right after using a soap or body wash? Rose Water takes care of that in a jiffy! 

Cleanser 

You can use it as a cleanser for your skin. It is suitable for all skin types. In combination with Glycerin it works great to cleanse your skin and it feels soft and supple, which is an added bonus. 

Soothing 

Rose water is very soothing. It is used to use soothe in numerous ways. A cotton ball soaked in Rose Water is applied on the eye to soothe irritation and to get rid of puffy eyes. It is why Rose Water is also used to soothe sunburn, a lot of skin conditions, etc. 

Toner 

We already know it has astringent properties and used as a toner or astringent widely. Just dab a cotton ball and rub on your skin to use it as a toner. It also curbs acne and pimples when used regularly. 

Bath 

It can be used in your bath. Not only does it help with de-stressing after a tired day, it also leaves your skin soft and silky. 

Makeup Remover 

Do you know you can use it to remove makeup? If using oil-based makeup, add a few drops of oil along with it and you have an effective makeup remover in a jiffy!
