Bath Bombs are the real deal when you want to relax and unwind in your bathtub with some goodies. Isn’t it?

I have always liked a good soak and know how good it feels when the right ingredients go into the tub along with hot water. Bath bombs however cost an arm and leg and I don’t fancy spending so much for something that can be whipped real quick and costs much lesser.

So, with Christmas around the corner goodies are always a plus. And of course, you can not only pamper yourself but also gift these wonderful bath bombs to your friends or relatives too. Let’s get started with the recipe.

Ingredients

Citric Acid – 4 Tbsp.
Olive Oil – 1 Tsp.
Baking Soda – 8 Tbsp.
Epsom Salt – 4 Tbsp.
Peppermint Essential Oil – 25 Drops
Lavandin Essential Oil – 15 Drops

Instructions

Add all the dry ingredients to your mixing bowl.

Use a whisk to combine them well.

Take another container and add all the other ingredients (oils) and mix well.

Now, add the oils mixture to the dry mixture and mix together as you go.

Use the mold to shape the mixture and you’re done when they’re dry and ready for use.

Tips

Transfer the mixture to the molds before the mixture dries out.

You can add colors if you prefer.

Tips to Tweak the Recipe

You can add any Essential Oil of your choice. Peppermint is a great option when you’re looking to be energetic, or when you’re enduring aches and pains, etc. Ylang Ylang, Lavender, Myrrh, Geranium are great for calming and relaxing. Like that, choose the oils based on your requirements or preference.

You can also use Magnesium Flakes for this recipe. It helps with muscle relaxation and is good for you to top up your magnesium levels. You sleep peacefully after a Magnesium soak.

If you want a soothing effect you can add Oatmeal to your recipe.
