How Does it Work?

Basically, the plumping comes from irritation to mucous membranes. Menthol, Cayenne Pepper, Cinnamon are all irritants and get the mucous membrane bothered – hence the plumping effect.

They also boost circulation to the area, leaving your lips a little flushed and pink. But this is a natural way to plump lips and doesn’t harm you. Besides, it is affordable and works. What’s not to like about it?

The first and last recipe works like a lip balm – so you can apply it off the lip balm dispenser and roll it on your lips. These recipes also leave your lips moisturized.

The second and third recipes rely on dry ingredients, so it might leave remnants on your lips. That’s why we wipe them off and they can be spicy – so don’t lick while they’re on your lips! Also, finishing off with a lip balm offers moisture and closes any cracks and makes your lips even.

The results last a good three hours, so if you go with lip balm style recipe, you can always reapply.
