We learned about dry skin care recently. In the same vein, we’re going to look at a few natural remedies that soothe and moisturize dry skin. Using these simple ingredients, you can get soft, supple and smooth skin once more.

The remedies suggested here are simple, natural and quite often, you have the ingredients in your pantry. So, ready for the remedies?

Milk Cream

Mix equal quantities of Lemon Juice, Milk Cream and Tomato Juice and apply this paste to your face and neck, or body. After 10 minutes, shower or wash off. This gently exfoliates and cleanses your skin, while also moisturizing and nourishing dry and dull skin.

Chickpea Flour

Take equal quantities of Yogurt and Chickpea Flour and mix well. To this, add a few drops of Almond Oil and apply this on your skin. Wash off after 10 minutes.

Alternatively, you can also apply Chickpea Flour with Milk Cream, Honey and Egg White. Don’t use more than one Egg White. The recommendation is equal quantities of Chickpea Flour and Milk Cream, with a tablespoon of Honey and one Egg White. You can skip the egg if you are squeamish, or don’t prefer using Egg.

Egg White

Beat an Egg White and add two spoons each of Milk and Honey to beaten egg. Apply on your skin and wash off after 15 minutes.

Almonds

Soak 4 Almonds overnight and grind them after removing the outer cover, along with a Tbsp. of Milk and add 1 Tbsp. of melted butter to the mixture. Massage this to your skin gently and wash off after 5 – 10 minutes. This also gets rid of dead skin cells, leaving your skin polished and smooth.

Oatmeal

Grind together 2 Tbsp. of Oats along with a Tbsp. of Honey and enough Yogurt to get a paste. Massage this to your skin and wash off after 15 minutes for soft and supple skin.

One Ingredient Recipes

After boiling milk, do you see a layer of fat atop the milk? Remove this and massage your skin with this and wash off after 5 – 10 minutes. This makes your skin soft and supple in no time and one of the best remedies for dry skin.

You can do the same thing with Milk Cream, too. Massage your skin in circular strokes and wipe off with a warm and damp facial sponge. The stored fat layers is added to the mixer to get Milk Cream after accumulating considerable quantity, though you can get Milk Cream off counters – so you can use what’s handy for you.

Soak a spoon of Carom Seeds in hot water. After half hour, strain and use the water to wash your face. This soothes dry skin immediately.

Instantly soothe and heal dry skin by massaging Clarified Butter. Rich and nourishing, ghee is a great ingredient for dry skin. Just massage your skin with ghee and wipe off / wash off after 5 minutes.

Oil cleansing is one of the best and most effective remedies for dry skin. Just massage your skin with oil for about 3 – 5 minutes. Then, cover your face with a steaming damp cotton towel for a minute and wipe your face with it. When you check your skin after wiping, it will be smooth, soft and supple.

A natural cleanser and humectant, Honey is an ideal food for dry skin. Just massage your skin with raw honey for a few minutes and wash off for clean and soft skin.
